Hi T

Football came home in Euro 96’ and if Boris Johnson’s speech (click here to listen) is anything to go by Whiff Whaff will take the centre stage in 2012. With four years to go the pressure is already building on our young Olympic hopefuls many of whom will be at the UK School Games this weekend in Bath (click here for more information). Every result and every training session  for the next four years will be analysed and scrutinised in the build up to  England’s biggest ever celebration of sport; and yes, medals are on important measurement of success, but the real success of  2012 should be judged on the legacy it provides. Table Tennis needs to capitalise on this once in a lifetime opportunity and re-embed itself once again at the heart of every community by ensuring it is accessible and engaging for everybody.

Why not let us know your thoughts on what the legacy for table tennis should be?  We would also appreciate your opinions on our new blog and of course keep your comments rolling in about each of our feature articles. Please send comments to communications@etta.co.uk.

I hope you enjoy this issue.
